[*] Skype keeps growing

SKYPE TAKES 4% OF WORLD CALLING: TeleGeography says that Skype
computer-to-computer calls is equivalent to 4.4% of international carrier
traffic this year, compared to 2.9% in 2005. The number of Skype users
online "now regularly exceeds eight million."

Another interesting tidbit is:

Cablecos had 750,000 telephone subscribers at the end of
    June 2006, six times more than a year earlier.

Traditional residential fixed lines are 11.5 million.
