While I still use the PSTN (via cell only now), I have dropped my POTS line
a few months ago -  just didn't use it.
I do have a dry-loop for DSL

It's a hard to decouple from a system that has been mandated and
financially supported for so long, but I do use VoIP-VoIP for family and
conference calls - no DIDs there :-)
