It seems that your quick shutdown just "damaged" some of X's font
directories.
I'd suggest trying to run XFS's fsck-like tool to fix any errors on your
disk,
and then re-installing the X fonts, or the X Server. If that doesn't work,
try un-installing
evrything X, (backup/move your config files for later reference), and
re-installing everything;
it shouldn't takle too long. Re-installing Redhat is going a bit too far, as
this seems limited
to a single part of your system.

Anyone else have any other ideas? I'm not yes too experienced in X.
