I use rdiff-backup over ssh to achieve reverse-differential incremental
low-traffic remote backups.  I actually sell the solution as a managed
service to small business.  I've been using it for 3 years now and it's
rock solid.

However, you won't be able to have the backup copy encrypted because of
the way the diff works.
