[RndTbl] Question: downloading Youtube videos

There are many potential reasons.

For quotation, such as if you're partaking in a video conversation or
referencing another video in yours (which is allowed under copyright law as
"Fair Use").

Or just because you feel like playing it in a decent player instead of a
browser, or if you want to distribute them somewhere else. There's plenty of
videos on YouTube under a Creative Commons license which explicitly allows
for that.

Also you might foresee being offline for a while, in which case you might
want an offline version.

That's just what comes to mind right away. I'm sure there are more reasons
that others have.

Kind regards,
