That's some pretty mean antennae on the StartTech one.

Oh, I guess there's this PCI, but the "RangeMax" might just be
marketing, and not real higher power (looks cool though):

Also, for what it's worth, I find the $200-$350 access points are worth
every penny if you're wanting to do "weird" things like crazy range.
You look at the specs between a $300 and $50 WAP and wonder what you're
paying for, but I've sold so many of both and the $300 ones are simply
incredible.  They just work; they just don't drop & fail connections
like the cheap ones do.
