[RndTbl] Ubuntu -> Kubuntu

Should be as easy as apt-get install. Be ready to have some daemons
from KDE running even if you don't use it in the future. My experience
years ago was that they got installed and setup in the runlevels
without waiting to see what desktop environment you logged in with.
