Interface it to any of your home control systems.
ie: X10 comes to mind, or your home security system (if you have an 
interface)

something oddly interesting would be to feed and monitor various audio 
feeds (mics, tv/fm-tuner cards, radio receivers) etc and control them 
via the interface. :-) :-)
