I had previously thought that you could use Gizmo directly with
Asterisk. What I have subsequently discovered is that you can't.

All you can do is sign up for a Gizmo account and then get your Asterisk
box to register with the Gizmo server as a client. As far as I can see
you can not get the Gizmo client to register directly with your Asterisk
server.
