[*] SBC recommendations?

Thanks; I had come to pretty much identical conclusions myself (I also added MetaSwitch to the lineup) but was hoping to find other credible options.
Looks like we'll be going with a GenBand S3, since it'll be front-ending their CS20 (formerly CS2K-Compact) switch anyway.

Adam,

I apologize for a slow response on this one. The market leaders for SBC in the carrier space are GENBAND (S3 product family), Acme Packets and to a lesser volume Sonus. They are all carrier grade if you follow their recommended engineering guides. I am assuming you need this for all SIP services and not just voice and want a separate signaling and media plane within the platform.

I’m looking for recommendations for a Session Border Controller. I have a high-performance SIP router/switch already, but it doesn’t do AAA, and I also don’t want it directly accessible by users. So I think this calls for an SBC.
I’d _like_ to use a Cisco product, but that’s not a hard requirement. Being “carrier-grade” is a requirement – 99.999% uptime, plus the usual 24x7 15-minute-response tech support.

Suggestions?
